Loneliness & isolation (Program)

Service Description

This therapy program is designed to support individuals struggling with chronic loneliness, emotional isolation, or a lack of meaningful connection—whether living alone, feeling unseen in relationships, or navigating periods of disconnection after grief, trauma, or major life transitions. Loneliness isn’t just about being physically alone—it’s about feeling emotionally disconnected, misunderstood, or like you don’t belong. Common experiences include numbness, sadness, overthinking, emotional withdrawal, shame, or difficulty reaching out to others. Prolonged isolation can impact mood, self-worth, nervous system health, and even cognitive function. The goal of this program is to help you rebuild a sense of connection—both to yourself and others—through emotional healing, social reconnection, and identity support. This integrative program draws from several evidence-based modalities, including: Psychoeducation on the psychological and physiological effects of isolation, and why social pain is real pain. Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) to reduce shame, self-blame, and the belief that you're “too much” or “not enough” for others. CBT and schema work to identify core beliefs related to rejection, unlovability, or abandonment—and begin shifting them. EMDR therapy, when appropriate, to process memories of exclusion, bullying, betrayal, or loss that contribute to ongoing social withdrawal. ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to help you move toward authentic, values-aligned connection—even in the presence of anxiety or vulnerability. Relational and interpersonal strategies to rebuild trust, develop boundaries, and form safe, reciprocal relationships. Please note: This is a flexible roadmap, not a fixed formula. The process will be adapted to your personal experiences, needs, and readiness for change. Clients completing this program often report increased self-acceptance, reduced emotional numbness, improved confidence in social situations, and a renewed sense of connection—to life, to others, and to themselves.
